Meet Our Co-Founders

Our Story

Julia and Victoria met while completing their master's in Couple and Family Therapy at the University of Guelph. While in the program, they had the privilege of conducting co-therapy together and therefore have insight into one another's unique therapeutic approach and anti-oppressive framework. Upon completion of the program, both Julia and Victoria successfully opened and, to this day maintain, independent therapy practices. Julia and Victoria founded Safer Spaces: An Intersectional Therapy Collective in 2021 in hopes of providing affirmative and accessible care to individuals, couples, and families across the province.
